Study mechanical technology at JCC
The Mechanical Technology degree with a design concentration at Jamestown 社区 College prepares you for employment in mechanical or industrial engineering technology. Graduates can pursue roles such as machine and tool designer, industrial laboratory technician, 检查员, production control technician, 安全技术人员, 和CAD操作员. Graduates can also transfer and earn a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology.
While at JCC, you’ll develop a broad range of skills in math, physics, and mechanical technology. You can choose either the machine tool concentration or the design concentration to complete the degree. The design concentration features courses in calculus, computer science, and computer programming. You’ll focus on learning how to develop concepts for manufactured products.
2022 median pay for industrial designers: $75,910/year according to the U.S. 劳工统计局
